Joining forces to combat cardiovascular disease
in Europe
As a member of the European Heart Network, National Heart Forum supports the European Heart Health Charter, an EU-wide policy document on cardiovascular disease prevention.
The Charter is a joint initiative of the European Society of Cardiology and the European Heart Network, with the support of the European Commission and the World Health Organization - Regional Office for Europe. It urges governments, NGOs and health organisations to increase policy efforts and commitment of resources to reduce the rates of avoidable heart and circulatory disease in the EU, and to reduce the stark inequalities in disease rates both within and between countries.
