Annual review
The Annual Review charts the NHF's strategic role in national and international public health policy development.
The NHF's role is not only to respond to policy in chronic disease prevention and health promotion, but also to shape the agenda for primary prevention, based on the expert consensus-based opinions of its members.
Our Annual Review is published each year in the Autumn.
This year it highlights important work such as:
- The publication of the Health Impact Assessment report which looks at the use of health impact assessments at the European Union.
- The production of Healthy Weight, Healthy Lives: A toolkit for developing local strategies, which was carried out in partnership with the Faculty of Public Health and key government departments. This publication supersedes the Lightening the Load toolkit published in March 2007.
- The partnerships with member organisations, endorsements and involvement with key policy drivers, consultation response activity and cross government working.
- An update on our information services, with a focus on the e-news briefing service and future developments over the coming year. For more information on this service see our e-News briefing page.
