The National Heart Forum (NHF) has developed a new website for the Health Action Partnership International (HAPI) team.
Health Action Partnership International (HAPI) brings together leading professionals and organisations with skills and experience from across a broad spectrum of action to provide technical assistance through:
- Technical partners and twins
- Consultancy
They are able to draw on expertise from
- policy makers
- practitioners and professionals
- representatives of international organisations and networks
- national experts
- leading academics and researchers
- representatives of non-governmental organisations
- business leaders.
Experts are from across the world including high, middle and low-income countries in Asia, Africa, Australasia, the Americas and Europe.
Interests of partners include:
- the social determinants of health
- health in all policies
- health inequality and inequity
- public health
- health improvement
- social marketing
- health promotion
- health systems
- primary health care
- national and regional policy
- health across all policies
- health and social care systems
- research and evaluation
- organisational development and management systems
- capacity building
- course development and distance learning
- community development
- health economics and cost effectiveness
They draw on extensive international experience developed through a national technical assistance programme, facilitated in liaison with WHO since 1995.
The team have been based at the National Heart Forum since January 2010. The HAPI website is now available at http://www.hapi.org.uk/.
